Straight from the horses’ mouths, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet creator Franc Roddam, writers Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais and Stan Hey, alongside stars Kevin Whately, Tim Healy and Christopher Fairbank, the series commissioning editor, directors and crew, share their memories of how the groundbreaking television series was created and what it continues to mean to them today.

Presented in a compelling first-person format, these recollections are woven together by authors Toby Benjamin and Martin Keady, who explore the origins of the series, its cultural significance and the enduring impact it continues to have on audiences more than forty years after its original broadcast.

The book also charts the remarkable story of the Official Auf Pet Fansite through contributions from Lee Barratt and Andy Patrick, documenting how a shared passion for the series evolved into a decades-long effort to preserve its history, organise anniversary celebrations and raise significant sums for charity.

Featuring a foreword by Franc Roddam and several previously unpublished behind-the-scenes photographs, this unique official publication will be available in two editions, including a special Signature Edition signed by Tim Healy and Kevin Whately themselves.

Preordering will not only keep you informed about the book’s progress, but also gives you the opportunity to have a name of your choice printed on the Roll of Honour in the back of book and get first pick of the books.
